The totally-non-pornographically-named Edge browser is among them. Mind you, some of these items Windows won’t let you remove, because they saved its life once in Vietnam. If you prefer to be more hands on, here’s how to get a list of all the things you can use the decrap function with. Get-AppxPackage -name $name | Remove-AppxPackage This will define a “decrap” command, which you can use to remove the prebuilt crap: Right-click on the “Windows PowerShell” entry when it pops up and choose “Run as Administrator” Open the start menu and just type “powershell” on the keyboard. So… let’s start by running PowerShell as administrator. Fortunately, with the magic of PowerShell, this has to take no more than a few seconds. Remember how you bought that PC and had hours of fun uninstalling all the bloatware crap that came preinstalled? Well, great news! When you upgrade to Windows 10, you not only get better DAW performance, but a chance to relive the joys of removing useless, hideous, pre-installed bloatware.
